Mike Dean was recently involved in revising the IEEM guidelines on ecological impact assessment, being part of IEEM’s Technical Review Group.
Mike co-authored the ‘Development and Mitigation’ chapter of the current edition of the Water Vole Conservation Handbook. He has also drafted best practice advice for water vole survey and mitigation in relation to roads on behalf of the Highways Agency. Mike’s research on the use of displacement as a mitigation technique for water voles was published in IEEM’s ‘In Practice’.
